Taking Care Of Yourself

I read an article recently that hit me right between the eyes and I wanted to discuss a snippet of it as it applies to our daily lives.

Now, how true is that? The example that comes to mind is when the flight attendants on an airplane tell you to put your oxygen mask on first so you can help others with theirs. They don’t say, put everyone else’s on first and then pass out!

It is amazing to me the acts of kindness you need to pay yourself every single day. Maybe that act of kindness is taking 15 minutes to read. Maybe it is spending 15 minutes with a friend or taking 15 minutes to sit quietly and eat a bowl of ice cream. What do you need it to be?

Sometimes it is hard to slow down and really think about what is important to you and what you want to accomplish. If you are wound too tight, it is because you are not loosening the belt on your stress. Stress means change is trying to take place and you won’t let it or it means change something.
