Candy Shaw literally grew up in the beauty industry as the daughter of former World Champion Hairdresser, Jamison Shaw. She now owns Jamison Shaw Hairdressers, a 50-chair salon in the heart of Buckhead, Atlanta where she still works at the chair servicing her loyal guests with masterful French Cuts & Balayage Highlights. Lovingly referred to as The Balay Lama®, Candy has been leading the charge to bring her efficient Balayage curriculum to the industry in a way that can help stylists earn a better living and make a better life. She created Sunlights as a passion project to couple her decades of teachings with salon-grade products centered around the better highlighting experience both in the salon and for the guests at home. Recently named ‘Educator of the Year’ by multiple organizations, Candy’s happy place is the classroom where she connects with stylists just like her to continue to elevate our industry using the Power of the Paintbrush!

Founded by Candy Shaw, Sunlights® is an education-forward brand created By One Hairdresser, For All Hairdressers®. Originally created as the first-to-market balayage lightener brand, our line has expanded to foil lighteners, developers, shampoos, conditioners, styling products, and essential hairdressing tools!
