Leen and Bertus started learning men’s haircutting when they were just 14 years old. With their love of classic barbering and the influences of rock n roll, custom culture and its subcultures, it was inevitable that one day they would open Schorem Barbier.
Schorem is an old school men-only barbershop in the heart of the working class city of Rotterdam. The shop specializes in the classic cuts that have proven themselves over the decades: pompadours, flattops, contours and the other styles featured on Schorem’s famous barbershop posters.
Since its opening, Schorem has been frequented by greasers, rockers, bikers, psychobillys, ruffians and other fine gentleman scumbags from every echelon of society. With more than 50 years of barbering and grooming experience these Rotterdam Barbers have now formulated pomades worthy of their exacting standards. As old school barbers they dug deep into the history of pomades to formulate what they belief are the world’s finest, Reuzel.
